What your neighbors are saying about Worm Works:

I am a long time customer of Worm Works and through all phases of their growth they have been an amazing company to interact with. They truly care about their mission and their customers. As a small YouTuber focussed around coooking, I am happy that my food scraps now go somewhere positive instead of wasting away in a landfill.

It is super easy to participate in this composting program. I absolutely LOVE knowing that our household is contributing to diverting waste from landfills and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Composting brings an awareness of how much food you are buying and wasting. The amount of waste that fills our bin is pretty shocking. Even with the monthly collection fee, I save money, because seeing all that waste motivates me to stop over-purchasing.

Living in town, with a busy schedule means composting is something we are eager to do but realistically can’t. Discovering Work Works has allowed us to divert food scraps from the waste disposal system (and by extension the municipal wastewater treatment system) and county landfill, to an environmental win-win ecosystem. Knowing that so much waste is not only not contributing to greenhouse gas, but helping others to grow food and plants is truly rewarding. Reducing our personal carbon footprints is critical, and easy composting is a great way to help toward that goal.

Every Monday we deliver our bucket of food waste to one of WW’s collection points. It is relatively easy and fairly convenient. Regardless, doing our small share to help reduce the amount of trash going to landfills helps us feel good about doing something to help. We simply put our remnants of veggies into brown lunch bags, store the bags in our sealed bucket in the garage and deliver them on Monday morning. It still amazes me that some people are using non-compostable plastic to wrap their stuff when newspaper or old paper bags works and adds to how much compost can be made. We used our bucket of compost as we planted new flowers in our yard and planters this Spring. The results have been amazing. So easy! And the plants obviously love the compost as they are flourishing like never before. If there was pickup service in our area, it would be a bit more convenient but delivering our waste ourselves is not an overly burdensome price to pay for doing some good for the planet. Heaven knows it needs all the help it can get! Thanks for starting up your business!
